Before the year 2040, the Musikot Range Office under the Salyan Forest Division Office was carrying out operations related to forest protection and development in this district. Again According to the changes made in the organization of the Forest Department in 2050, this district was placed in the "E" category, under which there were forest offices of 8 elas. Currently, Rukum district of Savik is divided into two parts and Rukum East district is working area. Under the Ministry of Tourism, Forest and Environment, Rukum East District has been established as the Division Forest Office and is operating. According to the current approved quota, the number of employees is 34. The total area of this district is 1,13,523 hectares, of which 56,383 hectares are forest and 34,056 hectares are grazing and bare pastures. According to the constitution of Nepal 2072, during the restructuring of the state, under the provincial government, Lumbini province, Ministry of Industry, Tourism, Forestry and Environment, the Division Forest Office was established as Rukum East and from Kartik 2075, the office was duly opened in Rukumkot, Takura, and the protection, promotion and development of forests were carried out. It has been kept. According to the current federal structure, the 16 villages east of Rukum are Ranmamaikot, Hukam, Jang, Taksera, Kol, Rangsi, Kankri, Morawang, Kanda, Mahat, Rukumkot, Chunwang, Sisne, Pwang, Pokhara and Syalapakha of Lumbini Province. Within the district, there are 3 rural municipalities namely Sisne rural municipality, Bhumey rural municipality and Puthauttarganga rural municipality. The service is being provided at the field level from a total of 4 Sub-Division Forest Offices, including Hukam Makot Sub-Division Office, which has Ward No. 1-6.
Purpose
Division Forest Office Vision and Objectives
A) To effectively implement the laws, rules and policies related to the protection, development and utilization of the entire forest area under the Division Forest Office.
